FIRST Education team has partnered with the Central Florida STEM Education Council and Orange County Government to offer FIRST Professional Development to Florida school educators.
Up to 15 spots are available under this grant.
FIRST® Certified Professional Development- is an immersive learning experience!
This professional development will help you acquire or strengthen your facilitation skills for project- based learning, using the Spike Prime Logo robotics kit, and building holistic skills such as creativity, problem solving, and teamwork in an active learning environment. Each course is led by a FIRST Certified Trainer and provides the necessary tools to bring FIRST programs to your classroom or as a structured after-school program. Certificates for continuing education or professional development credit are provided following the completion of the session.
Check with your school administration to locate the Spike Prime Lego Kits provided to your school. You will need to bring one with you to the workshop.
You will also need to bring a laptop with software preloaded on it. A link to download the software will be send to you after you register. You may need to contact your school's IT staff for assistance installing it.
A continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided each day.
