Flamenco Denver offer Workshops with professional dancers and musicians from Spain, Venezuela and around the U.S. This is a unique opportunity for Flamenco Denver to be able to bring artists of such renown to students in the Denver community. These workshops are crucial to keep students motivated and always seeking to challenge themselves with new techniques, styles and staying up to date with the newest trends in this evolving art form.
Nino de los Reyes is described by Aireflamenco.com as an “explosive dancer but also the dancer of small and simple movements that moves the audience to shout “ole”. And what is even more interesting is the combination of both ways of his dance, explosive and subtle at the same time...” (www.aireflamenco.com). Nino is the first dancer to be recognized with a Grammy award for the best Latin jazz album “Antidote,” collaborating with music legend Chick Corea. He began his career at age 9 dancing with the “Campanas Flamencas” show directed by Paco Sanchez, founder of the renowned company “Cumbre Flamenca., sharing stage with Joaquin Grilo, Milagros Mengibar, La Tati, Antonio Reyes and his brother Isaac de los Reyes. At the same age, he joined prestigious dance companies like Eduardo Serrano “El Guito”, Carmen Cortes and Javier Baron. He performed alongside Enrique Morente, Pepe Habichuela, Josemi Carmona, Juan José Suárez “Paquete”, José María Bandera and Niño Josele among others.
