Description
This event is open to anyone who wears women's clothing. It is queer-friendly and ADA accessible (via elevators and lifts).
Need room in your closets? Bring down your gently used clothes, accessories, shoes, between 9-10 am and head out for coffee or brunch in the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood and come back at noon to shop!
Or do you just need a fresh new wardrobe? If you don't have anything to swap, we invite you to join us at 1pm. There is always a TON of clothing and accessories and I promise that even after the early birds get their picks, there will be plenty left!
The event is at the glamorous Grant-Humphries Mansion. If you are able, please donate to History Colorado for their generous donation of this incredible space! https://www.historycolorado.org/make-donation
Schedule:
9-10 am drop off clothing (North Entrance), get a ticket for early-bird entry
12-1 pm Early-bird entry for anyone who brings clothing (West Entrance)
1-4 pm General admission (West Entrance) (limited entry for social distancing/building capacity, ticket does not guarantee entry and is for our planning purposes only)
This event attracts an eclectic mix of people with a lot of different tastes, so you are as likely to find a sequin dress as you are a power suit or a new pair of jeans.
The mansion has lots of mirrors, but no dressing rooms- we suggest wearing something you can try clothes over, like tank tops, or leotards/swimsuits.
RULES:
NO stained, ripped, ratty clothes (unless they are AMAZING and could be saved with a little TLC)
NO T-shirts unless they are really cool and in good condition.
NO housewares, clothing only!
NO underwear or socks (unless the tags are on)
NO sellers/thrift stores- we only allow shopping for yourself (or relatives/friends) only! (we will spot you and will kick you out)
We donate any leftover clothes to local charities after the event.
