The Burlesque Hall of Fame is a nonprofit museum committed to preserving, sharing, celebrating, and inspiring the art of burlesque. The organization manages the School of Striptease , it produces the quarterly fundraising show, Tease: A Burlesque Revue at The Space and produces the largest burlesque convention in the world, The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender which hosts the Tournament of Tease renowned for its Exotic World Competition. With a collection of several thousand costumes, stage props, photographs, and personal effects documenting the careers and lives of burlesque dancers, comics, and producers over nearly a century, the museum is a growing testament to the power and social impact of the art of the tease.

Learn to maneuver feather fans with Buttercup! Buttercup has been performing with and building feather fans for over a decade!
In this movement-based class you will learn hand holds, poses, movements and how to strip out of a costume without ever putting the fans down!
Please bring a robe or loose button down shirt. You may bring your own fans or you may use feather fans provided in class. Please wear clothing that does not restrict your movement. Heels are optional.

This class is offered to all. The School of Striptease teaches using the motto, "all bodies are burlesque bodies."
Buttercup is a burlesque performer, producer, instructor and costumer in Las Vegas, Nevada. She hails from New York City where she studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Along with her skilled voice and movement, Buttercup incorporates traditional burlesque elements into her routines. Her fan-dance, bump & grind and tassel & assel twirling create unforgettable acts which embody beauty and eroticism with light-hearted flair. Buttercup performs in burlesque, comedy and variety shows in Las Vegas and across the country. She has been a featured entertainer in Holly Madison's Bourbon & Burlesque at Mandalay Bay, Melody Sweets' Presents inside the Absinthe tent at Caesar's Palace and Myron's Cabaret Jazz, Brian Newman's After Dark at Park MGM and Spiegelworld's Opium at The Cosmopolitan. Buttercup co-produces multiple successful burlesque shows including Tease: A Burlesque Revue for The Burlesque Hall of Fame and Revusical, a live Jazz and Burlesque revue. Buttercup is a feather fan build partner with Donna Touch. Buttercup builds feather fans for herself, and others, including for Las Vegas productions. Her fans are featured in Spiegelworld's Absinthe at Caesar's Palace, X Burlesque at The Flamingo and in Jennifer Romas' Exxcite at The Rio.
This course is scheduled to be taught in-person. The Burlesque Hall of Fame reserves the right to teach this course virtually, at its discretion. Furthermore, classes may be recorded via Zoom for any students who may need to miss a class.
