Join us in support of raising funds for the new home of Flying Squid, Athens own dedicated comedy theater, featuring the musical talent of opener Turtle Grenade and headliner band Cicada Rhythm. Commencements begin with stand-up comic Kelly Petronis.
Cicada Rhythm
A band of Georgians pushing the limits of roots music in the modern era. Lead by Andrea DeMarcus (upright bass) and Dave Kirslis (electric guitar). Often collaborating on stage with some more local heroes.
Turtle Grenade
Turtle Grenade is a musician and visual artist based in Athens, GA. Her music simultaneously offers a raw playfulness and an ethereal melancholy, existing somewhere between the naïveté of a Daniel Johnston and the elegance of a Sufjan Stevens.
Kelly Petronis
An independent filmmaker, improviser, and serial podcaster, Kelly is one part self-produced punk rock comedian, one part sweater-wearing linguist philosopher. He has performed for audiences of all stripes and ages with his comedy that is logic-bending, poetic, and tantalizingly dry.
