Join us for this two-part cookery leader training part of the Food Use Places project, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Designed by Brighton & Hove Food Partnership and led by Charlotte Fuller, Community Cookery Leader at The Community Kitchen.
This course is for anyone
- who wants to add a cookery activity to their current community offer
- is already cooking with their group and is looking for inspiration and tips
It will be a mixture of practical cooking and discussions. By the end of the course you will be able to lead a food and climate action themed cookery activity, have been given some tips around cooking with unusual ingredients, cooking at different volumes, practiced some ‘hero recipes’. It is also a chance to meet and work with other community-based groups involved in the Food Use Places project.
The course takes place in the Community Kitchen a purpose built, accessible kitchen on Queens Road, BN1 3XG. All ingredients, equipment and materials are provided
Lunch and refreshments provided - Please let us know of any dietaries or accessibility needs in advance.
Two-part training course - times & dates
- First session - Tuesday 4th Feb 10-2.30pm
- Second session – Tuesday 11th Feb 10-2.30pm
This course is free for Food Use Places project partners. If you are not a partner of the Food Use Place project, you are able to attend both classes for £50. Please get in touch with us.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be a £25 per person, per session 'no show' charge if we aren't notified within 24 hours of the class starting, which will help cover the costs of the ingredients. However, please let us know with as much notice as possible so we are able to offer the space to someone else.
