Description
The Partners in the Food Use Places Project are thrilled to invite you to our launch event to celebrate our project receiving 4 year funding from the National Lottery Climate Action Fund.
The Food Use Places project aims to tackle food and packaging waste by working with 16 community organisations across East Sussex that use food in their work. Together we intend to minimise food’s impact on our climate through the creation of a new norm – a food use mind set. As this is an extension to our 18-month pilot, we will be showcasing what we have been doing as well as sharing our plans for the coming years.
There will be refreshments and softs drinks provided by The Real Junk Food Project as well as a chance to try some of our community engagement games and activities.
Reduce, reuse, recycle is what this work is all about so we want to hear your food saving tips and how you reuse your packaging time and time again.
There will be a couple of short presentations including Councillor Tim Rowkins, Cabinet Member for Net Zero & Environmental Services and of course a cake!
Please forward this invite to anyone you think would be interested. There are limited spaces so please sign up. Any questions, please email libby@bhfood.org.uk
