Description

This class focuses more on attaining control with individual skate skills. Each skill has a number of drills to help find control in them. We start the class in a group warm up around shuffles, strut, cross steps, skaters walk, crazy legs. We learn to find rhythm and practice the warm up to the beat. We start slow in tempo and build up to speed. You will feel the burn and workout, bring plenty of water. You will have opportunity to express the skill you vote to focus on the most after the warm up. I'm so excited to skate with you!

Chickpea started roller skating in May 2020 to cope with the challenges of the pandemic. Since then she has acquired SkateIA Level 1 & 2,  RollRight, SafeSport certified instructor. She offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced group roller skate classes in person and online; Roller Skating Basics, Foundations in Rhythm Skating, Rhythm Skate Choreography, Roll Right learn-to-skate classes and more. Chickpea’s goals are to share the joy of skating, educate on the urban culture of skating, build the skater and instructor community, and to help make skating accessible for as many as possible globally.
