Ready to learn about one of the most versatile tools in the woodshop?
This two-session workshop will introduce you to the powerful, and sometimes intimidating, Wood Router. Participants will learn the potential of this tool, and the many ways that it can be safely used.
The instructor will review basic tool components and assembly and demonstrate set-up and safe operation. We will cover common jigs, edge treatment routing, trim & pattern routing, circle routing, mortising, tenon sizing, and edge joint preparation (panel edge joints, dado, French Dovetail).
The first session- March 7th- will be primarily explanation and demonstration.
The second session- March 14th- will be hands-on practice.
*Through or half blind dovetail jig use will be a separate class.
NOTE: This class has two sessions; participants must be able to attend both.
