Description

A must for any aspiring woodworker, this class will cover the tools and methods for turning rough lumber into usable materials for woodworking.  Topics will include wood evaluation, use of the planer, jointer, band saw, and table saw for wood preparation to correct warp, wind, and cupping in lumber. This class will be mostly discussion and demonstration based. 

*Participants may bring some rough lumber for practice.

 

Meet Our Instructor: John Lunde
With 15 years of experience as a professional furniture maker and a manager of an architectural woodworking shop, John is excited to share his skills and knowledge with the MTL community.
