Description

Learn to make some of the most common wood joints, including: mortise and tenon, half lap, bridle joint, spline joint, spline mitre, match joint, French, through and half blind dovetail. This class gives a basic overview of how and when to use different joints for your projects, as well as how to create these joints using jigs and other shop tools.

The instructor will provide examples and explain how each joint is made, spending most of the class on demonstration. Note: this class will address only machine made joints.

*Participants in this course should be comfortable using power tools and have a basic understanding of woodworking terminology.
