Celebrate Independence Day at George Washington’s boyhood home! Tour the Washington house, learn about archaeology at Ferry Farm, enjoy a patriotic flag retirement ceremony, interact with historic reenactors, listen to festive music, view living history demonstrations and theatre performances, make crafts, play games, and enjoy other activities for the whole family.

1:00 p.m. - Flag Retirement Ceremony

$5.00 per car for a combined parking and event admission pass. You only need to buy 1 pass per car.  You may purchase passes for up to 2 cars on one transaction.  If you need passes for more than 2 cars, you'll need to make multiple orders.

Advance purchase of parking and event admission pass is strongly encouraged. Timed tickets are to ensure the availability of parking for visitors. The average time of a visit is around 2 hours to participate in all the activities. However, only one parking pass needs to be purchased. 

No buses or large passenger vans.

Event is rain or shine. Parking and event admission pass is not refundable.

Parking only available at Ferry Farm this year to help insure visitor health and safety.

No shuttles or parking at the Eagles lodge.
