A mirilton—depending on the context—can be a children’s flute, a coin, a pastry, a military hat, a bad poem.


Here—it is an encounter between two bodies and two universes of performance, creating a mischievous and swirling space for listening, for challenging, for connecting, for dissolving. 


François Chaignaud (France) is a choreographer, dancer, singer and performer—whose practice shows equal reverence to the history of dance and to collaborations that highlight different artistic forms. 


Aymeric Hainaux (France) is a musician and one of the world’s leading beatboxers. 


In Miriltons, they meet in a total saturation of frequencies and swirling muscles: something between a concert, a battle, a ritual, a dance, a union. 


Elusive, polysemic, impossible to put your finger on—like a mirilton.
