College of DuPage FREE Tax Preparation Services

Service Details
College of DuPage offers FREE income tax preparation and electronic filing for Federal and State Income Tax returns on Saturday mornings and select Wednesday evenings from February 14 to April 11, 2026. This service is open to all community members and provided by College of DuPage accounting students supervised by their instructor. Tax preparation services are available by appointment only.

Required Documents
To complete your tax return, please bring printed copies of all 2025 tax documents and your 2024 income tax return. You will also need your bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit of your refund. Please note that the IRS has announced that it will no longer issue paper checks. Therefore, you will be required to provide this information before we process your returns.

Note: Digital copies of your 2025 tax documents will not be accepted.

Tax Years We Can Prepare

This tax preparation program can prepare federal and state income tax returns for tax years: 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
