Description
FRIEDAcommunity and the Alliance Française invites you for French conversations. Practice your French in a casual setting under the guidance of Jean-Claude, that said, this is not a class.
Jean-Claude Djéréké is originally from Côte d’Ivoire. He has been teaching at the Alliance Française in Philadelphia since November 2013. He taught French at Drexel University and Temple University, after completing part of his studies in France (2003-2008). Jean-Claude worked at the Raymond Aron/EHESS Center for Political Research directed by Professor Marcel Gauchet between September 2008 and July 2009. In June 2008, he defended his doctoral thesis in Contemporary History and Sociology of Religions at the École Pratique des Hautes Études-Sorbonne.
Frequency: Every 1st & 3rd Tuesday
Meet & Greet: 5:30 pm
(attendees may serve themselves soup and bread and gather at the table at the beginning of, or after the gathering)*
Conversation to start promptly at 5:45 pm

* This activity is part of our Soup Connection gatherings that take place in a safe environment on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The format is simple, come hungry, curious and open to meeting new people, you will find a warm and delicious soup, engaging conversation, and fun, creative activities surrounded by interesting and like-minded participants.
After all, our mission is to (re)connect people through art, culture and food… We look forward to seeing you!

Important: No walk-ins. In order to keep the cost affordable for everyone and reduce food waste, let us know that you are coming, so that we can plan accordingly. Also, respect the time of each group organizer/leader or your fellow community members, they make time and expect you to be there. Maximum size per group may apply to allow for a comfortable atmosphere for everyone in the space.
Cancellation policy: In the interest of building community, we ask that you donate your ticket to another person should you need to cancel.
