The Boys Next Door- by Tom Griffin
A 1987 off-Broadway success, this funny yet very touching play provides a glimpse into the lives of four men with vary cognitive disabilities who live in a group home under watchful eye of a sincere but increasingly "burned out" social worker. You'll meet Norman, who loves doughnuts; Lucien, who lugs around a weighty pile of books that he cannot read; Arnold, a hyperactive, compulsive chatterer with a persecution complex; and Barry, who fantasizes that he is a golf pro. Filled with humor, the play is also marked by the compassion with which it peers into the world of these individuals with disabilities.
As You Like It - William Shakespeare
As You Like It is one of Shakespeare’s most produced comedies and traces the pursuit of love and honor through four delightfully different couples and two disputing rulers. Rosalind escapes the Forest of Arden disguised as a young man only to discover that Orlando, whom she recently met and instantly fell in love with, is in the forest as well. As she cleverly teaches him “how to be a lover”, she encounters and affects love through-out the forest and assists in returning her banished mother to her rightful place in court.
Vampire Cowboy Trilogy- By Qui Nguyen and Robert Ross Parker
Contains some adult language and content
This live comic book anthology contains three irreverent comedies that hilariously skewer well-beloved genres. Hard-boiled paranormal detective Jake Misco takes on the case of a mysterious stranger who is haunted by her dead husband; a Cold War-era crime-fighting duo struggles to save America from the throes of Communism while questioning their own principles; and a teenage warrior princess named Tina must fight evil Zombie cheerleaders. All tied together by the Vampire Cowboy.
