Description
Join us for a fundraising panel offering valuable learning, refreshments, and an opportunity to help a family in need.
The ongoing genocide in Palestine has brought many new people to the world of community organizing. While many of us have brought our passion, energy, and time to this important moment, there is much to learn from more experienced comrades about how to affect meaningful change.
On August 17, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, we are hosting a panel discussion with several experienced activists. It is an opportunity to learn about a range of topics, what has and hasn't worked for them over the years, and ask questions.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Alnawajha Family’s fund for basic necessities and to help them leave Gaza.
About Jana Alnawajha and her family:
Jana is 14 years old. Before the beginning of the genocide, she lived in Gaza with her father Mohammed, her mother Samira, and her brothers Kareem (13) and Ahmed (10). She loved drawing, reading, cooking, and playing with her friends. Her brothers loved playing football. Jana was the top student at her school and dreamt of being a geneticist.
Over the last ten months, the Alnawajha family have faced unimaginable horror, devastation, loss, and fear. And sadly, they have not had good luck with their campaign so far. With so many families in need, some get lost in the chaos, and we want to change that. Your donation will help bring them hope and a chance to rebuild their lives.
