Let your creativity bloom in this magical fused glass workshop at Smashing Art Glass Studio! In this two-part, hands-on class, you’ll design and create a beautiful wind chime featuring a colorful glass flower—perfect for brightening your home or garden. We’ll guide you step by step as you cut, arrange, and assemble vibrant glass pieces into a one-of-a-kind floral design. Choose from a selection of enchanting flower patterns or dream up your own fantasy bloom—no prior experience needed!
This is a two-part class:
- Part 1: Create your glass flower chime, which will be kiln-fused after class.
- Part 2: Return in two weeks (Saturday, 10 AM–Noon) or during an Open Studio session to finish your wind chime by adding beads, dangles, and final touches. Prefer to complete part 2 at home? Take-home assembly options are available.

Here are some details to keep in mind when signing up.
- Fused glass projects require kiln firing time and will take about 1-2 weeks to be ready for pickup.
- Attendees must be at least 18 years of age, or 15 if participating with a parent or legal guardian.
- Proper attire is required for all class participants. You will need to wear closed toe shoes, socks and long pants (below knee capris are acceptable).
- Protective eyewear will be provided, but feel free to bring your own safety goggles if you prefer.
- Glass workshops require students to sign a waiver acknowledging and assuming the risks of working with glass. Each glass class will begin with a review of the safety rules and proper glass cutting and handling techniques.
- Our studio is located on the 2nd floor with stair only access. (It's the white concrete building next to H & H Auto Parts!)
- There is on and off-street parking with reserved spaces on the side of our building.
Refund policy: We require a 48-hour (2-day) cancellation notice in order to issue a refund. If you do not cancel at least 48-hours in advance, no refund will be issued.
