Galactic Garfield is an eclipse weekend concert special taking over the Garfield Park McAllister Amphitheater. We'll be celebrating the once in a lifetime opportunity for Indianapolis to be in the path of totality for a solar eclipse. We're bringing together three of our favorite Indianapolis bands with the Moon Goons, Ancient Days, and Shipwreck Karpathos. In beautiful Garfield Park, join us to celebrate a beautiful crazy eclipse weekend with some of the best music you'll find around.

All ticket money goes directly to Garfield Park to help support their programs.

Moon Goons

Titanic garage-prog drenched in psychedelia. Crunchy music made for space weirdos and worms. Best known for visual stimulation and auditory extravagance. 

Ancient Days

Dripping in psychedelic acid trips and riffs straight from hell. Bringing sounds from a horror movie from the 60’s in the darkest depths , in the shadows they lurk, in the night they haunt, bringing a whole new taste to Doom and following the foot steps of Black Sabbath and Deep purple , but with more Evil. 

Shipwreck Karpathos

Birthed in the backroom of a beloved Indiana record store, Shipwreck Karpathos is the shape-shifting brainchild of David Chastain. An instrumental band steeped in the Midwest’s melting pot of emo, hardcore and indie rock stylings, Shipwreck Karpathos are set to turn a new page with their forthcoming record, exploring a slightly darker territory while also coming into their own as a band.

Square Cat Vinyl is a one of a kind record shop in the Fountain Square Cultural District in Indianapolis. The space is comprised of a record store, performance venue, and a bar serving beer, wine, and coffee drinks. Our mission is to be a music communal space for local and traveling musicians. We serve as a meeting ground for musicians of different types and ages along with music aficionados throughout the region.
