In a time of rising grocery costs and unsteady economic seasons, planting your own food is more important than ever. With growing health concerns and the desire to know exactly where our food comes from and what has been sprayed on it, more families are turning back to the garden.

Could you build a house without a strong foundation? You could try, but it wouldn’t stand for long. Gardening is no different. From soil health and preparation to planting styles and plant selection, everything begins with the foundation.

10:15- 11:00 AM- Fix Your Soil, Fix Your Garden with Caden Buschur of OSU Extension
Healthy gardens start with healthy soil. Whether you grow in raised beds or in-ground, your soil sets the stage for success.
Join Caden Buschur of OSU Extension as he teaches the essentials of soil management, understanding pH levels, composting, and building strong soil for thriving plants. When the foundation is right, everything else grows better.
11:00 AM-12:00 PM- Back to the Garden Basics with Flora Homestead
Join us for an inspiring hour with Flora Homestead as he shares the keys to growing successful vegetables right here in Ohio. From his top practical tips and regenerative gardening techniques to his favorite tried-and-true plants, you’ll walk away equipped and encouraged to grow with confidence this season.
Whether you're just starting out or refining your approach, this class will help you get back to the basics and grow better because of it.
Cost: $25 per person (includes 1 bag of compost & 1 pair of gloves)
