Description

Learn to garden with beneficial insects and paint with cockroaches!

During this workshop we will learn all about the good insects in your garden and how to encourage their presence. We know about how great ladybugs and praying mantids are, but did you know there are many more awesome insects out there that can help eat those pesky caterpillars and aphids?

Students will receive several handouts that contain helpful resources and information on beneficial insects and pollinators, plus observe some pre-collected beneficial insects and take a little field trip to see what we can find around the garden. Finally, we will create some abstract works of art with giant Madagascar hissing cockroaches!
