Description
Join us for the next installment of our Jr. Gardener's Club fall programming!
Children will explore the wonders of the forest through movement before painting a whimsical woodland friend—such as an owl, fox, squirrel or hedgehog. They'll finish by adding natural textures and autumn-inspired details to their artwork.
The purchase of a ticket includes Garden Admission for one child and one caregiver so you and your little one can wander the Oregon Garden, looking for frogs in our A-Mazing Water Garden or listen to the busy bees in our Apiary after the workshop is done!
Location: NREC
Time: 10:00-12:00pm
Age range: 3-12

About the Instructors
Hi, I’m Tricia Lewis, founder of Mat & Chat Yoga. I’m a certified RYT 200 Yoga Instructor, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator, and Kids Yoga Instructor through Yoga Playgrounds.
I believe movement, mindfulness, and creativity are powerful ways to help us feel more connected — to ourselves, to one another, and to the world around us.
Through Mat & Chat Yoga, I create welcoming spaces for children, families, and adults to pause, breathe, move, and connect. My Mat & Chat Kids classes blend mindful movement, breathwork, storytelling, and games to support confidence, curiosity, and emotional awareness.
My goal is to help people of all ages discover joy, creativity, and a deeper sense of trust and connection within themselves.
I’m excited to partner with Desiree and Root & Bloom at the beautiful Oregon Garden to offer this Movement + Nature-Inspired Art experience — inviting children and families to explore, create, and connect with the natural world through mindful movement and creativity.
Hi, I'm Desiree, founder of Root & Bloom.
Life gets busy. We spend so much time taking care of responsibilities, checking off to-do lists and moving from one thing to the next that it's easy to forget to make time for ourselves. I wanted to create a reason to slow down.
Root & Bloom's Creative Wellness Workshops bring people together to paint, create, garden, explore nature and enjoy hands-on experiences that spark creativity, conversation and connection. Every workshop is a little different, but the goal is always the same: to spend a couple of hours making something, meeting new people and leaving a little more refreshed than when you arrived.
Beyond workshops, I also work one-on-one with clients through gardening, home organization and practical wellness support ~ helping people create spaces, routines and everyday habits that feel healthier, more manageable and more enjoyable.
I hope you'll join me at an upcoming workshop. I'd love to create something with you.
