Description

A big challenge for most local gardeners is how to have a beautiful, cooling landscape that uses very little water and is fire resilient. A special teaching and learning event at Sonoma Garden Park will grapple with this idea and bring to light many solutions, from native plant species to coordinating a plan with the lay of the land. Participants will get a hands-on introduction to plants for various uses, such as xeriscaping, attracting pollinators, fire hardiness or adding color. You'll leave ready to beautify a garden with water-wise California native plants. The workshop includes a tour of the Native Plant Nursery, and a make-and-take native plant related activity.
