he GateWay Second Chance Foundation presents our hybrid event, the 8th Annual Prayer Breakfast Fundraiser, on March 4, 2023, 9:00 -12:00 noon EST. We would be delighted if you joined us for this year’s prayer breakfast. Our theme is A Beacon of Hope-Leaving a Legacy.
Our Intent/Mission:
The GateWay Second Chance Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to securing necessary funding to continue giving our underserved, academically struggling young boys a second chance to gain the skills they need to become productive members of the community. Though slowed by the continuation of COVID 19 variants, we remain committed to establishing and sustaining a boarding school (GateWay Boarding Academy) to help these youth develop needed life-skills to prepare them for college and/or certified skill trades. The pandemic and widespread virtual instruction has also hindered learning for increasing numbers of students nationwide, especially adolescent males. These young boys, now in middle and high school, desperately need the proven research-based, computer reinforced and individualized instructional program we are providing.
Our students continue to benefit from both the in-person and virtual instruction provided through our After-School, Structured Instructional Support Time program [A.S.S.I.S.T.]. And, beyond the needed academic support, GateWay also provides mentoring and Pre-Apprentice training that reinforces that support.
In short, as we progress toward establishing the boarding school, we continue to provide academically struggling young boys with the skills they must have to succeed.

We cannot continue our efforts without your support. Our goal for this event is to raise funds to continue to progress toward establishing the boarding school while continuing the A.S.S.I.S.T. and the Earn & Learn Pre-Apprentice Training programs.

We, in the GateWay Second Chance Foundation, are committed to securing necessary funding to enable us to provide the secure, stable, community-based environment so critical for underserved youth in need of a second chance to modify behaviors and become contributing members of our community. Our mission is to fund a college-preparatory boarding school, other education related opportunities and life services essential to the success of male adolescents from the Foster Care and Juvenile Justice systems.
