The GateWay Second Chance Foundation presents our 9th Annual Prayer Breakfast Fundraiser, March 2, 2024, 9:00 -12:00 noon EST. We would be delighted if you joined us for this year’s prayer breakfast. Congressman Glenn Ivey, Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District, will be this year's Keynote Speaker. Biography of the Keynote Speaker, HERE. Our Theme First, Love Our Intent/Mission The GateWay Second Chance Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to securing necessary funding while continuing to give our underserved, academically struggling young boys a second chance, to gain needed skills and become productive members of the community. Though slowed by the continuation of COVID 19 variants, we remain committed to establishing and sustaining The GateWay Boarding Academy to help these youth develop life-skills and prepare them for college and/or certified skilled trades. The pandemic and widespread virtual instruction has hindered learning for an increasing number of students nationwide, especially adolescent males. These young boys, now middle and high school age, desperately need the proven research-based, computer reinforced and individualized instructional programs we are providing. Our students continue to benefit from in-person instruction provided through our After-School, Structured Instructional Support Time program [A.S.S.I.S.T.]. Beyond the needed academic support, GateWay also provides mentoring and Pre-Apprentice training which reinforces that support. As we progress toward establishing GateWay Boarding Academy, we continue to provide academically struggling young boys with skills they must have to succeed. Event Goal To reach our goal of $70,000, we need you! With your support we are sure to achieve and surpass our plan for this Event and continue to progress towards establishing the Boarding Academy while continuing the A.S.S.I.S.T., Earn & Learn Pre-Apprentice, and Life-Skills Training programs. Thank you for your support of the GateWay Second Chance Foundation. If you are unable to attend, please consider donating! |
