Welcome
Welcome to Wetheriggs, an animal rescue centre dedicated to the rescuing and upkeep of animals. A General Admissions ticket is a timed entry time, this is only an arrival time, you are welcome to stay at long as you like. Spend time with the animals, buy a bag of feed and get a hands-on feeding experience. Take a break and go for lunch at our partner cafe at Thorpe Farm, a short 2 minute walk away.
About Us
Wetheriggs is a small family run animal rescue charity first established in 2006. We take in injured and unwanted animals including domestic pets (excluding dogs and cats), farm animals and native wildlife. If we have the facilities suitable, we will take in any animal and give them a new home and a new chance at life. Some of the animals we try to rehome, but others will live out their lives at the centre. Many have previously experienced poor living conditions and may suffer from trust issues or have health problems.
Visting Us
We are open every day from 10 am to the public, and the entrance fee helps to run the rescue centre. Visitors have the chance to get close and interact with our animals including feeding some of them. We also regularly have animal handling sessions with rabbits, guinea pigs, chicks, ferrets, snakes, lizards and more.

Gift Aid
As a charity, we rely heavily upon funding and donation from kind-hearted attendees and members. As part of your purchase, we ask that you add a small donation of 10% onto your order as part of the "with Gift Aid" ticket, this allows us to reclaim 25% of the value of that ticket. To be eligible you must be a UK Tax Payer and UK Resident, we ask where you can contribute, it will make the world of difference for the animals. Thank you from us all at Wetheriggs.

We can usually take in injured or distressed wild animals at Wetheriggs, but if you ever find an animal you think needs help, stop and think first as bringing it in could be the worst thing you can do. The first thing you need to do is call us or another rescue centre to get advice. We will be able to tell you the best course of action, whether that will be to leave the animal alone, bring it in or take it to a vet. may find.
