For the first time, Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball will host the biggest professional beach volleyball event in Kansas City history on September 13th— a single-day, high-stakes showdown. The George Brett 4v4 Volleyball Showdown will bring together 24 pros from across the USA to form six elite teams — three men’s and three women’s — who will compete head-to-head for a cash prize.
Kansas City Royals legend George Brett is teaming up with AVP Hall of Famer Steve Obradovich and SBMV owner Lance Windholz to bring this incredible event to the Kansas City area for the first time.
Be a part of the excitement and witness the power of the most talented athletes competing in games on the beach. These aren’t your average volleyball games. This is a custom-built, high-octane 4-on–4 format designed for speed, power, and nonstop action to ensure every rally is electric.
SCHEDULE:
- 7am - doors open
- 9 am - pool play round 1
- 10 am - pool play round 2
- 11 am - pool play round 3
- 12 pm - pool play round 4
- 1 pm - pool play round 5
- 2 pm - pool play round 6
- 3 pm - semi-finals round 1
- 4 pm - semi finals round 2
- 5 pm - women's Championship
- 6 pm - men's Championship
- 7 pm - After party until close (2am)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- ZERO GLASS POLICY - bringing in any glass product will result in immediate removal with no remittance.
- LIMITED PARKING IS AVAILABLE. Please reserve an Uber or get dropped off for this event if you don't purchase a parking pass. Parking passes will be limited.
- Sand event - Sand socks or other foot protection is advised. Sand can get hot in the sun.
- Lawn Chairs, Towels and blankets are permitted for those wishing to sit or lay in the sand. Umbrellas will NOT be allowed.
- Stadium seat cushions are permitted but may not be left unattended as placeholders.
- No outside food or drink allowed
- Bags will be searched upon entry
GENERAL ADMISSION - $40
General admission will give ticket holders access to our GA sand sections and bleachers. The first three rows around the main courts are sand-sitting only. Bleacher seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
VIP SAND (LAWN CHAIRS ALLOWED) - $60
VIP sand seating will give ticket holders access to our VIP perks, as well as reserved sand seating up close to the action!
Sand VIP amenities include access to:

- VIP bar
- Indoor VIP bathrooms
- VIP food menu
- All general admission inclusions
VIP Tables of 4 and 8 - $480 and $960
All table reservations are within our VIP section. VIP amenities include access to:
- Reserved seating at your selected table on our covered deck

- One parking pass for tables of 4
- Two parking passes for tables of 8
- Table-side service
