Description
This 6 week course is designed for new and established performers who would like to create a burlesque act. Burlesque performers are known for their unique acts. Established burlesque professionals will guide you through honing your gimmick & character development, creating cohesive and functioning costumes & props, and producing a comprehensive and entertaining routine that can be adapted to many stages and shows! The course will culminate in a student showcase at Vegas Theater Company on Sept 19th.
Class Schedule
Class meets 9 times at Pole Fitness Studio 7:15p-8:45p for 1.5 hour sessions. Pole Fitness Studio is only supplying studio space for class. Any questions can be directed to buttercup@burlesquehall.com
Week 1 - Monday, August 10
Week 2 - Monday, August 17
Week 3 - Monday, August 24
Week 4 - Monday, August 31 & Friday September 4
Week 5 - Monday, September 7 & Friday September 11
Week 6 - Monday, September 14 & Friday September 18
Student Performances - Sat. September 19th. Two Showtimes, First show starts at 7pm/ Second show starts at 9pm/ Tech 5:00PM - 6:00PM Vegas Theatre Company.
Students will receive video of their performance and any tips accumulated during shows.
Proceeds benefit the Burlesque Hall of Fame, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit.
Class is open to all! Class is taught on the motto that, "All bodies are burlesque bodies."
Cost:
Registration - $450, paid in full
Membership Discount - $405, paid in full, must be a current member
Alternate Payment Plan - $250 downpayment to secure spot with $30 installments for 8 classes, paid online prior to class. This payment option brings the total cost of class to $490. Students are responsible to pay for any missed classes.
NO DROPINS. Students must commit to full 6 week course. No refunds for missed classes. No refunds on cancellations after August 3. All sales are final. No admittance for missed payments.
This course is scheduled to be taught in-person. The Burlesque Hall of Fame reserves the right to teach this course virtually, at its discretion.
