There are some distilleries that revoke magical nostalgia, which has made Scotch whisky mythological over the ages. One of these fantastic names is the legendary Glen Grant, whose general profile dances on your tongue with a blast of fruits, a celebration of creamy tones and sweet spices.
Glen Grant’s history traces back to 1840 – when the last great auk penguin perished on one of the Scottish islands and went extinct. Without getting too much into quirky historical trivia, it is wort mentioning that Glen Grant was the first distillery to implement electric lighting in their facilities in 1861. They also built a second distillery in 1897, mothballed it in 1902, and eventually re-opened it in 1965 as Caperdonich.
Glen Grant's history is long and colourful with some of the most legendary names in the whisky industry past and present, each strives to deliver whiskies that go above and beyond the norm.
