The word “photography” literally means drawing with light. We can have the fanciest schmanciest gear with all the bells and whistles, but if the light isn’t right, our images will suffer. That’s why many photographers revel in the “Golden Hour.” This is the time of day just after sunrise and just before sunset when the low sun angle creates a glow and a softness that’s flattering for portraits and landscapes alike.
Professional photographer Mike Caplan will be your guide in this iPhone-specific workshop. We will meet at Articipation Gallery at 5pm for some introductory guidance, then make our way to a Bayside location to take photos around sunset. Mike will also show you how to use his favorite editing app to enhance your photos on the spot. This workshop will involve no strenuous activity but some walking will be required.
