Explore a remarkable example of Victorian design and craftsmanship! Enjoy the elaborately decorated rooms of Lippitt House while exploring how Providence’s industrialization and immigration history shaped the Rhode Island of today. Staff will share stories focusing on the people who lived and worked in the house to illuminate larger ideas about industry, immigration, design, and civic engagement that comprise Providence’s rich cultural heritage.

Please Note

Tour tickets are non-refundable. Tours may be rescheduled by emailing LippittHouse@PreserveRI.org. 

Current tour capacity is 10 people. For groups larger than 10, please email the museum to speak with staff.

Masking is welcome but not required. 

Museums for All Access Program

People receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free admission for up to four people as part of the national program Museums for All. Participants can book in advance and will be asked to present their SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) card upon arrival.
