Join Minnesota-based photographer Pao Houa Her in the Woodson Art Museum galleries for a special
walkthrough of her exhibition, Double Exposure: Community Portraits. Pao Houa Her’s body of work offers
profound reflections on the experiences of the Hmong American community in the United States, often
merging personal narratives with collective histories. The individuals depicted in her work—including friends,
family, and members of the Hmong American community—are presented in compositions that balance artificiality and authenticity. Each photograph serves as a site for contemplation on themes of migration, resilience, and the ongoing process of self-definition.
Following the tour, try your hand at an art project and enjoy conversations with fellow community members over lunch and refreshments.
The cost is $5.00 per participant.
