The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Kirna Amin brings the authentic tastes of Western India, the Gujarat region, to the Community Kitchen, sharing the cooking techniques and flavour combinations that have evolved over centuries so you can a homestyle meal in Brighton.
You will work in pairs to prepare a typical menu of:
- Gujarati aubergine and potato curry
- Moong Lentil Dhal
- Stuffed paratha - layered and filled traditional flatbreads
- Sambhar - Gujarati coleslaw
