Description
Step into the magic of Broadway in this exciting Musical Theatre Workshop with special Guest Artist, Cassidy Stoner! Cassidy is a cast member in the Broadway Production of Aladdin. Students will dive into the art of storytelling through song and dance as they explore character development, establish tone, and discover how performers bring a story to life on stage.
Go behind the scenes to learn about the many roles that keep a Broadway production running: from swings and understudies to dance captains and ensemble members, and gain insight into the teamwork, versatility, and professionalism required to be part of a successful company.
Then, experience the thrill of performing as students learn and stage a portion of the iconic opening number, "Arabian Nights," featuring original choreography from Broadway’s Aladdin.
To wrap up the experience, the final 15–20 minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to an interactive Q&A, giving students the opportunity to ask questions about Broadway, professional auditions, training, and what it's really like to perform in a Broadway musical.
