Museum Hack’s Hacked Gala is a dress-to-the-nines, renegade museum tour of The Met, packed with wildly entertaining stories of art, fashion, and change.
In small VIP-style groups, you'll explore the museum, walking the same steps as celebrities do during the Met Gala, passing the Costume Institute’s exhibit Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. We’ll take you “beyond the runway” into the stories of those who challenged norms, defied expectations, and redefined self-expression—one outfit, sculpture, tradition, or law at a time.
In true fundraising Gala style, your ticket price to our Hacked Gala is also a donation supporting The Fashion and Race Database® (FRD) — a NYC-based organization focused on creating a dynamic, expert-led approach to understanding the history and impact of race in the fashion system and our everyday lives. FRD’s mission aligns with the 2025 Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, celebrating fashion as power, protest, and identity.

Details:
- April 26 beta tour (note: Costume Exhibit not yet open at the Met)
- Two limited-offering tour dates in May
- Dress code: Casual attire.
- Fundraising goal: $5,000 benefiting The Fashion and Race Database®. This tour is pay-what-you-wish. All ticket proceeds, outside of museum admission, support FRD.
- Price: Pay what you wish. Museum admission is $25. All proceeds beyond museum admission are donated to FRD.

Not Included:
- Entrance to the Costume Exhibit as part of the tour. (Due to museum restrictions, third-party tours cannot enter, and we’ll provide highlights and invite you to visit on your own afterward—no extra admission required.)
