Life is a lot these days. Isn’t it time for some happiness?
Settle in at MAC for Happy Hour Cabaret with Heidi and Mark! An evening of songs and stories that will incite joy, laughter and, if we’re lucky - happiness. Longtime collaborators and friends, Heidi and Mark have woven together songs from a myriad of styles (think Great American Songbook, movies, pop/rock, and of course, Broadway) to give you a respite from the cold, cruel world.
A versatile performing artist, Heidi Hayes enjoys a career in cabaret and musical theatre. She has traveled around the world as a cabaret singer, from Singapore (The Arts House) to New York City (Metropolitan Room) and back to Philadelphia (The Red Room at Society Hill Playhouse, Darlington Arts Center, and the New Leaf Club). Heidi’s recent theatre performances include Miss Betty in The Carols at Montgomery Theater, Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret and Baruska in Once, both at Hangar Theatre Company. Prior to the pandemic, Heidi toured Asia in Troika Entertainment's production of Sister Act.
MARK YURKANIN Collaborative pianist: Brind School of Theater/University of the Arts; Walnut Street Theatre. Principal Accompanist: Savoy Opera Company. Collaborative pianist, music director, arranger in the greater Philadelphia musical theater community-at-large. Favorite productions include Side by Side by Sondheim, Walnut Street Theatre; The Fantasticks, Bristol Riverside Theatre. Studied at Penn State, with Broadway conductor Paul Bogaev, and the Literature and Materials Program at The Juilliard School.
