Description
Harmattan Hustle 2025 is presented by Desjardins Financial Security Investments Inc.
We invite you to a day of outdoor adventure at scenic Camp Harmattan on May 17, 2025. The Harmattan Hustle is about building community, being active in nature, and supporting the ministry and legacy of Camp Harmattan. The feature event is a run or walk (for all ages and abilities) and a kids run. We also invite participants to create a profile on our Canada Helps Hustle page to fundraise. You can also donate to participants or provide corporate sponsorship. Anyone can join us for the day (even if you are not participating in the run) for fellowship with friends, to support the participants at camp, and enjoy supper and a church service together. Help us spread the word by sharing our event on social media, reaching out to friends and family, and engaging with your community. Together, we can amplify our impact and reach our fundraising goal of $20 000 towards youth camp programming.
Events
- 5 km Run (or walk it)
- 2 km Walk
- ~2 km Kids Run (12 and under)
Registration Costs
- Adult registration is $50 each
- Children registration is $25 each (12 and under).
- Supper tickets are $15 (supper is included with registration for race participants)
Race Day Schedule
- 1:00 pm - Arrival
- 1:30 pm - Kids Race (~2 km)
- 2:00 pm - 5 km Race & 2 km Walk
- 1:00-4:00 pm - Activities for Kids (Bouncy Castle, Craft Table, Pop-Up Games)
- 4:30 pm - Supper
- 5:30 pm - Church Service
- 6:30-8:30 pm - Ice Cream Shack, Coffee Cabin, and Campfire
Race Package
Each participant will receive:
- Branded, Casual T-shirt (Cotton) (Select size with ticket purchase)
- Participant Medal awarded at the Finish Line
- Smoothie after the race
- Eligibility for Door Prize Draws (must be in attendance to receive prize)
- (1) Supper Meal Ticket
Food and Refreshments
- Supper meal tickets are available for purchase for non-participants.
- The Ice Cream Shack will be open for ice cream sales after the evening church service (while supplies last).
- The Coffee Cabin will be open in the afternoon and after the evening church service.
Other Events
- Child-friendly activities such as a bouncy castle, craft table, pop-up games, and the playground are available for use during the event.
Refund Policy
- All entries are non-refundable
Weather and Air Quality
- The race will continue in the event of rain, snow, or sunshine, except in case of Severe Weather Events.
- The race will not commence if the Air Quality is Level 7 or greater, based on provincial reporting
- As conditions can change, a final decision will be made the evening before the event.
- Since all permits and purchased materials are in place with no possibility of refunds, we cannot offer refunds, rollovers, or credits in the event of a cancellation. All merchandise will be made available to the participants with arrangements made at that time.
