Harris Homeschool Program: History Through the Camera's Lens

Description

Join library and museum educators at the third program in the bi-monthly homeschool program series hosted by the Museum of Work and Culture and the Woonsocket Harris Public Library.

February’s program will feature guest speaker and documentary filmmaker Christian de Rezendes, known for his work creating the Emmy Award-winning documentary series Slatersville: America's First Mill Village.  Christian will speak with students about the process of making a documentary and the steps he took to get started in this career. 

At 11:00 am, participants will move to the Harris Public Library, where the children will participate in a filmmaking activity. 

The first program will run from 10am - 12pm and the second program will run from 11am - 1pm, both beginning at the Museum.
