This year's theme is: R.E.S.E.T. - Remember Every Situation Encourages Transformation. Guest speaker: Morgan Tuck, Director Franchise Development, Connecticut Sun, former WNBA player, UCONN alum, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter.

 

The Foundation for Educational Opportunities, Inc. in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter hosts its annual signature program and fundraiser, Hartford Girls Rock! This year's event will be held in person and highlight some amazing honorees. 

 

Hartford Girls Rock! is an annual program developed to celebrate, inspire, empower and honor young women of the Greater Hartford community. The young women selected for this honor have been identified by local community-based organizations and represent the goals and standards of their respective organizations. In the months leading up to this signature brunch, the honorees participate in workshops on goal-setting, healthy choices, career exploration, self-empowerment, and civic engagement.

 

We are only able to do our work through sponsorships from individuals, community organizations, and corporate sponsorships.  All are a vital and valued part of what makes the work of FEO possible and sustainable. Proceeds from this event provide FEO with financial support to positively impact the Greater Hartford area by advancing our efforts to offer scholarships and leverage the capacity of our community programming.

 

Contributions are non-refundable.

 

All guests must be fully vaccinated. Masks, proof of vaccination, and a COVID-19 Questionnaire & Waiver will be required at the event.

Founded in 1994, the Foundation for Educational Opportunities, Inc. (FEO) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization positively impacting Greater Hartford by providing scholarships to deserving college-bound students and implementing community based, self-improvement learning opportunities in the areas of health, education, family dynamics and economics. Greater Hartford is strengthened by our programs which result in elevating dialogue regarding issues impacting underserved members of the community.
