Harvest Asado at Echo Farm
Join us for a unique and immersive agritourism experience at Echo Farm in the picturesque surroundings of the Adirondack region. We will celebrate another season of working this land by eating our vibrant summer harvest in our favorite way, Asado style, with fire & coals. Asado is an Argentine-style barbecue, centered on community, good food, and the slow roasting of meat and various other vegetables. The result is a tender and flavorful meal, shared around story telling and fellowship around the fire.
The menu will include multiple courses of seasonal vegetables and grass-fed meats cooked over an open fire with dips and sauces..
Come early at 4:00pm to engage in an interactive farm tour, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about sustainable farming practices and witness the beauty of the harvest firsthand. Led by Dillon, the founder of Farmstead Catering at Echo Farm, this tour will be rich with the history of the area as well as how the farm continues to change and grow.
We are thrilled to announce Mountain Echo will be serenading us throughout the evening! Mountain Echo is a newly-formed North Country band with a repertoire of traditional roots and bluegrass songs, as well as contemporary covers and original works. The band is: Ben Littenberg (bass), Nora Nadire (vocals), and Jeff Schmich (mandolin, octave mandolin, and banjo).
