Description
Our teenage years are often when we first begin figuring out who we are outside of who everyone else expects us to be. We question authority, push boundaries, try on different identities, crave independence, and sometimes carry a whole lot of anger about not being heard, understood, or allowed to just be ourselves.
This 4-day course is about reconnecting with that inner teen—not to fix them, but to finally give them a damn space to be heard.
Day 1 — Meeting Your Inner Teen
We will reconnect with who we were during our teenage years and explore what was happening underneath the surface. Who were you trying to become? Where did you feel misunderstood? What parts of yourself did you hide to fit in or keep the peace?
We will begin getting to know this version of ourselves again and understanding what they needed but may not have received.
Day 2 — Let Them Be Angry
Teenage anger is so often dismissed as attitude, disrespect, or being difficult. But underneath that anger there is usually something that needs to be heard.
We will explore what our teen was angry about, what they weren't allowed to say, where their boundaries were crossed, and what happened when they tried to use their voice.
Instead of trying to get rid of the anger, we are going to listen to it.
Day 3 — Honor the Rebel
Our rebellious nature wasn't always a bad thing. Sometimes rebellion was simply our way of saying, “You don't get to decide who I am.”
We will look at the expectations we pushed against, the identities we created, and the ways we may still be seeking permission or approval as adults.
We will work on bringing the healthy parts of our rebellious teen forward—individuality, independence, boundaries, voice, and the ability to say this is who I am and this is what works for me.
Day 4 — Rage Room Release
For our final class, we're taking our inner teens into the Rage Room.
Everyone will have an opportunity to tap into something their teen is still pissed about and give that anger somewhere to go.
Before entering, we will spend time connecting with what we are angry about, what we never got to say, and what we are ready to stop carrying.
Then we break some shit.
We will finish by coming back together and integrating what came forward, allowing our teen's anger to become stronger boundaries, their rebellion to become sovereignty, and their voice to have a place in our lives now.
The goal isn't to get rid of our inner teen.
It's to finally let them know: I hear you. You have a voice. And you don't have to fight so damn hard to be yourself anymore.
