Blue Grass Drive-In Theater - 3
Blue Grass, Iowa 52726Two survival stories, one in the Alaskan wilderness and one on a three-hour clock, take over the Blue Grass Drive-In with our double feature: Heart of the Beast and Runner.
Start the night with Heart of the Beast, David Ayer's survival thriller starring Brad Pitt as Special Forces officer James Belmont. After a plane crash strands him and his combat dog Odin deep in the Alaskan wilderness, the two of them face the elements together in a brutal fight to make it out alive. J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe co-star, and by most accounts the dog steals the show.
Then stay for Runner, the action comedy from director Scott Waugh. Alan Ritchson plays Hank Malone, a former soldier turned courier who has three hours to get a transplant liver from Brisbane to the Gold Coast for a dying girl, with Owen Wilson riding along and a cartel on their tail. It's fast, funny, and over before you know it.
We're open Friday - Saturday - Sunday. The ticket booth opens at 6 PM. Movies begin at dusk.
