Learn bellydance basic vocabulary with the tease of burlesque! Farasha will teach you a simple & sensuous routine designed for everyone from the seasoned performer to the hobbyist!
Please wear clothing that does not restrict your movement.
This class is offered to all. The School of Striptease teaches using the motto, "all bodies are burlesque bodies."
Farasha Deneen- The Desert Siren, Is known for dynamic shimmies, liquid musicality and charismatic style. She began her bellydancing career in Boston’s popular Middle Eastern supper clubs dancing to live music, thus developing a foundation in both improvisation and choreography. Farasha received performance contracts throughout the Las Vegas strip, most notably with the Aladdin Hotel and Ceasars Hotel Casino. She has performed in cabarets, corporate events, weddings and private events, her performances have included events for celebrities such as: Hip-Hop star, Cardi B , and Lebanese singer- Wael Khofury. As an instructor, she has taught and performed at numerous festivals throughout the country. Currently she is teaching group and private lessons and performs regularly in Las Vegas. Farasha draws inspiration from the golden era of Egyptian cinema.
She has studied various styles of ME dance with known instructors and performers that shaped her style and expertise over many years in the dance. With her strong foundation in Middle Eastern dance she blossomed into showgirl styling for a beautiful fusion of styles.
This course is scheduled to be taught in-person. The Burlesque Hall of Fame reserves the right to teach this course virtually, at its discretion.
