"The Awakening" is an entertaining and heart-warming afternoon of dance! Our Jr. Division Recital features our younger dancers along with a select number of upper level dances mixed in throughout the program.
In Isaiah 61:1-3 NLT of the Bible (read by Jesus at the beginning of his ministry in Luke 4) it says “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’S favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.” And in Matthew 28:18-20 NLT it says "Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
We are AWAKENING to:
-The love of God for us and for others
-Our calling and purpose to use our gifts and to bless people
-The great commission to share the good news!
