In Matthew 1:22, we can see the fulfillment of Isaiah’s words, “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” This 700 year old prophecy was fulfilled the promise of God’s presence through the birth of Jesus. Then, Matthew ends with Jesus’ final words to his followers just before he ascends into heaven: “...And be sure of this: I am with you always even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Matthew begins and ends his gospel with the reminder that God is always with us, closer than we know. Even when we cannot see him, we are never alone. "Emmanuel: Closer Than We Know" is an entertaining and heart-warming evening of dance! Our Sr. Division Recital features our older/ upper level dancers throughout the program.
