Purchase an ornament in honor of someone or with your family name on it to hang on our community Christmas tree at the annual "Lighting of the Tree" ceremony in Downtown Brandon. You will pick up the ornament beginning at 5:30PM November 30, at the Brandon Main Street event space-- 137 E Government Street, next to Flying Dolly's. Place it on the tree by 6:30pm. The Lighting of the Tree is at 6:30PM. If you miss this event or pick-up time, BMSA will place the ornament on the tree for you. Orders guaranteed for 11/30 must be placed by 11/27 at 5pm. You may order through December 9, 2024, and BMSA will ensure your ornament is hung on the tree before the Christmas parade on 12/13.
The Lighting of the Tree ceremony is an annual event that is FREE and family friendly. The first hanging of ornaments will occur during this event, beginning at 5:30pm on 11/30. There will be a train for children to ride through a parking lot, photos and cookies with Santa at Good Boy Po'Boys from 5:30pm - 7:00pm, Reindeer food making station, and more! All on November 30 from 5:30 - 7:00pm. The official lighting of the three for the season will be at 6:30pm.
