Homeschool Days Spring 2023

February 10, March 10, April 14, and May 12

10 am-12 pm

Homeschool Days are back this spring at the Garden! Join us for hands-on learning that supplements your homeschool curriculum for ages 6+.

February 10 - Eco Trek Part 1: Meadows & Forests - Explore the ecology of these special habitats with interactive lessons & activities from a Garden trail guide. We’ll become part of the web of life & learn about the cycles of the forest during this fun outdoor adventure.

March 10 - Egg-stravaganza - See what hatches from eggs in spring. We’ll go on a tour through the Garden and observe a variety of eggs from insects to birds to amphibians. As a special spring treat we’ll color eggs using natural plant dyes and plant a “basket.”

April 14 - Eco Trek Part 2: Ponds & Wetlands - Explore the ecology of these special habitats with interactive lessons & activities from a Garden trail guide. We’ll use observation journals during this outdoor trek & examine the parts of a wetland.

May 12 - World of Plants - Take a trip around the world without leaving Memphis! We’ll “travel” to different countries to learn how local cultures use plants in their daily lives & complete hands-on activities to take home.

$12 MBG Members/$15 Non-Members. Price per child participant per class. Adults who accompany their child will need to pay Garden admission upon entry to the Garden.
