Have you ever wanted to hand-milk a dairy cow? Join us early in the morning to learn “hands-on” how to milk and what it takes to care for a family milk cow.

How long is the experience?
Milking usually takes 1 - 1.5 hours. (This depends highly on how many questions you ask during and after we milk the cows.)
What will we see and do?
We will gather in the Parking Lot of Cafe' Homestead at 7:00 AM (608 Dry Creek Road, Waco, TX 76705). We will all drive our own cars across the fairgrounds and down the hill to our main farm and to our milking parlor. This is “hands-on” experience! We will do our best to help you learn how to milk a cow and answer any questions you have about hand-milking and dairy cows.
Once there you will learn…
…the basics of dairy cows.
…the basic procedures of hand milking.
…about milking parlors and equipment needs.
…about sanitation, milk handling, & proper milk storage.
…how to feed a dairy cow and her calf.
Tickets Prices*
$20 per person (18+ years of age)
$10 per child** (5-17 years of age)
*Hand-milking is LIMITED to 10 total attendees.
** Infants and toddlers under 5 are welcome to join us for free. All children will need to be constantly supervised by an accompanying adult.
