This live, in-person dramatized reading of the stage script will be performed by many of the actors who originated their roles (*) in the inaugural production of Hooked in October 2012 (some even returning from out of state for the event) and will give audience members who didn’t attend its premiere a second-chance to experience it for themselves!

After the performance, the audience will get the rare opportunity to participate in a talkback with the cast and playwright, to ask questions and hear stories about the original production.

Hooked is a grim, violent twist on J. M. Barrie’s novel Peter and Wendy, set in a future London which has been overwrought with crime and drugs, and where societal decay has left the city a ruined husk of what it once was. When an injured young punk, referring to himself only as "Pan," crosses paths with a girl named Wendy Darling, she and her two brothers, John and Michael, are drawn deep into the heart of the city, where even the junkies, prostitutes, gangs, and piratical thugs have something to fear—a disfigured drug lord named James...better known on the streets as "Hook”.

The Rage of the Stage Players

The Rage of the Stage Players are an educational collective of artists from various disciplines, whose mission it is to entertain mature audiences by presenting original works of an alternative nature (black comedy, fantasy, horror, etc.) and reimagining established works in uniquely conceptualized ways.

The Rage of the Stage Players extend the opportunity to anyone in the community, 18 years of age or older, who wishes to apply an artistic skill in a theatrical setting.

We strive to satisfy darker tastes in art and have thus developed a fan base composed of those who seek it. To that end, The Rage of the Stage Players welcome any support in our endeavor to keep such entertainment alive.
