Description
Horace Stoneham was the longtime owner of the New York Giants baseball team. Though sometimes maligned for moving the team from New York City to San Francisco, he is known for having helped to revolutionize the sport. Less well known is the connection of the Stoneham family to Lake Hopatcong. as summer residents of the Northwood section of Hopatcong.
Baseball experts and Stoneham family members will join us for this very special program celebrating Horace Stoneham’s presence at Lake Hopatcong. The evening begins with a Hap Nightingale Beefsteak Dinner (all-you-can-eat beefsteak, fries, salad, & ice cream) - a meal Stoneham himself most likely enjoyed at the lake!
